When an existing stream cuts through the middle of a proposed landfill site, the owner and contractor turned to Tindall to house the re-routed stream in a 2-piece box culvert. Once full, the landfill was estimated to have approximately 110' overburden of soil and ash covering the box culvert. Tindall engineers designed a box culvert with the strength to support the extreme loads because of the deep burial depths, along with longer lay lengths, which leads to decreased installation time for the contractor.
