SPARTANBURG, SC– The Piedmont chapter of the South Carolina Society of Professional Engineers (SCSPE) has named Tindall’s Shawn Goddeyne, P.E., Young Engineer of the Year (YEOY). This award honors engineers who make outstanding contributions to the engineering profession and the community during the early years of their career.
“Tindall is proud to congratulate Shawn Goddeyne for his exciting achievement,” said Greg Force, P.E., Tindall’s President & COO. “Shawn is a bright, hardworking, versatile self-starter, and we are fortunate to have him as a member of the team.”
Goddeyne joined Tindall in 2015 and is a licensed professional engineer in several states with specialties in structural engineering, prestressed and reinforced concrete design and steel design. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Arizona State University.
As a regional YEOY recipient, Goddeyne is eligible for the state YEOY award to be presented at SCSPE’s annual banquet in June.
“I’m honored to receive this recognition from such a great organization,” Goddeyne said. “I’m proud to be a member of SCSPE and look forward to continuing my work in the engineering profession and contributing to the community.”
A state society of the National Society of Professional Engineers, SCSPE works to promote the ethical, competent and licensed practice of engineering and to enhance the professional, social and economic wellbeing of its members.
