Tindall is proud to announce that we will be sponsoring Kelly Scheib, Vice President of Human Resources, for The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Woman of the Year fundraising campaign. In this annual competition, dedicated candidates from across the country engage in an effort to earn LLS’s “Man & Woman of the Year” titles, raising funds for LLS blood cancer research. Every dollar raised counts as one vote, and the titles are awarded to the man and woman with the most votes at the end of the ten-week competition.
For Kelly, this is a cause very close to her own heart. She was inspired to participate in honor of her brother. He doesn’t have leukemia or lymphoma, but is battling pancreatic cancer. Over a year ago, he ran the New York City Marathon to raise money for LLS in honor of their grandmother. She was diagnosed with lymphoma and beat it not once, not twice— but three times. Kelly’s brother trained for months and finished the race, only to be diagnosed with stage three pancreatic cancer shortly after. Although her brother can’t run a marathon to raise money for LLS this year, Kelly can by competing in this fundraising event.
Kelly is an integral part of our team, our family, and everything that we do at Tindall. We want to congratulate her on her candidacy for Woman of the Year, and praise her for her dedication to this great cause, and to her family.
