Precast Concrete Engineered for Sustainability

Precast concrete’s sustainable impact comes down to how long a structure lasts, how well it performs, and how long it serves its intended purpose before being torn down.

Here at Tindall, we view every project through the lens of its long-term sustainability. Shared by Tindall Building Systems and Tindall Infrastructure, this perspective allows us to manufacture precast concrete that extends design life, leverage the efficiency of off-site construction, and deliver the quality we’ve stood behind for more than 60 years.

Every Project Is Built To Last

Durability is a key driver of sustainability. Depending on a building’s scale, design, and location, precast concrete has to be able to carry specific loads and stand up to wind forces, seismic activity, and fire risks. Building it the right way from the beginning ensures fewer repairs and lower maintenance over time. Add in considerations about immediate functionality and future adaptability, and the importance of planning for sustainable performance only grows.

Tindall’s experience and expertise add value from a project’s earliest stages. By engineering precast solutions that enable reconfiguration or expansion, we give building owners a strategic way to reduce the eventual financial and environmental costs associated with demolition and replacement.

Sustainable Builds
Start Off-Site

Manufacturing precast concrete panels and solutions in a controlled environment eliminates much of the unpredictability and waste that comes with traditional cast-in-place construction. It also improves the quality of the finished product thanks to an efficient, repeatable process.

Forms can be set once and used to produce dozens of identical pieces. Reinforcements and concrete mix can be inspected before a pour takes place. Curing can take place without the worry of changing weather conditions. All of these add up to create a precast advantage that delivers install-ready panels and components that reduce on-site labor and waste while making construction more efficient.

Precast Concrete Delivers Measurable Progress

Sustainability is easy to claim, but it’s much harder to prove. That’s why we clearly document the environmental impact of our precast solutions through Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs), rather than making broad, generalized claims that sound good but lack substance.

Our commitment to transparency and continuous improvement also makes a difference in our production facilities, where we are regularly refining our manufacturing processes and finding ways to reduce waste. In each of these areas, we ensure accountability by setting specific goals and regularly reporting on our progress.

We Build With
Your Future in Mind

At its core, sustainability is a matter of service. By manufacturing precast concrete that solves immediate construction challenges and ensures long-term performance, we’re serving our customers, the communities where they’re located, and the people who will use the buildings and structures for years to come.
