The Little Sandy Correctional Complex expansion added capacity and long-term durability to an existing detention facility through a complete precast solution. Tindall engineered, manufactured, and installed the modular housing units along with the exterior architectural wall system, delivering a structure designed for performance and reduced maintenance over time.
The project included 208 prefabricated modules and 152 pieces of architectural precast wall panels, forming both the building enclosure and key structural elements.

Tindall’s scope included modular housing units in multiple configurations, including ADA-compliant and double cell layouts. Architectural back walls and panels were designed to reduce long-term maintenance while supporting the structural demands of the facility.
The project required close coordination with multiple trades and precast partners, with Tindall’s panels and modules carrying roof loads provided by other contributors. Despite the complexity and remote location, the full precast system was installed ahead of schedule.
