The Cherokee County Adult Detention Center delivers a modern, high-capacity correctional facility built using a total precast concrete system. Tindall engineered, manufactured, and erected the structural frame along with a complete suite of prefabricated housing and support modules.
By leveraging precast concrete, the project achieved a durable, secure structure with the speed and consistency required for a multi-level detention environment. More than 400 precast components were produced, including columns, beams, interior and exterior wall panels, and double tee floor slabs.

Tindall’s scope included 160 precast cell modules in multiple configurations, along with integrated shower units and specialized housing components. A custom four-person module was developed specifically for this facility, expanding standard design capabilities while maintaining efficiency in production and installation.
Working from limited initial documentation, Tindall advanced the project through model-based coordination, giving the team a clear path forward early in design. The full precast system was delivered and erected in alignment with the project schedule, reinforcing the reliability of a prefabricated approach for complex correctional construction.
